Unravel: Orchestral Commission

In the sum­mer of 2009, Jensen was com­mis­sioned to com­pose a ten-minute work writ­ten for full orches­tra and SSAATTBB vocal ensem­ble by the world-renowned Swingle Singers. The piece was an adap­ta­tion and expan­sion of Jensen’s vocal arrange­ment of Bjork’s song, Unravel, which Aaron wrote for the Swingle’s most recent album, Fer­ris Wheels.
The orches­tral adap­ta­tion was pre­miered at Teatro Verde in Flo­rence Italy with the
Orches­tra Regionale Toscana. It has since been per­formed in Sao Paulo, Brazil with the TUCCA Phil­har­monic, in Turkey with the Izmir Sym­phony Orches­tra, and in France with the Orchestre Phil­har­monique de Strasbourg.
